Acturally, the exterior of my stone oven is under construction, but it
works all right. I baked pizzas for the first time with it last
weekend. They were yum, I bet. :)

Yesterday, I saw a movie "1408". Do you know? I think it's horror. Is this correct? It was nice.
Michel is an author of horror novels. He never has seen ghost. So he is always looking for hotels or motels where ghosts appear and stay to see ghosts.
One day he get a mail. There are words "Do not enter 1408." in the mail. He is attracted by the mail. Then he decid to stay that room No.1408. But chief manager tell him a story that 56 people who entered the room died within an hour. But he get interest more instead.
He stay the room, then he regret staying the room. What is his regret? You should see 1408 to know his regret. I recommend you. :)

Three times of weekend made me to progress my work. It's slow, but I'm
not a professional.
The bluesky object beneth the arch is styroform that I used when I
made ceiling of stone oven and I reuse it.

I finally tied up loose ends about my stone oven. After this picture,
I fixed a chimney on it. And I'll cover it with another kind of
bricks. It might take a couple of weeks...I will!

I'm planning to make a stone oven. I hit on this idea when my wife said
that she wanted to eat pizza which baked in stone oven.
Last week, I bought some tools to make it. For example, a blocks trowel
, two spirit levels, masks, a pair of goggles and grinder blade. I'll
wear the mask and the goggles when I cut bricks with the grinder blade.
I got a permission to built it in our garden from my father-in-law
yesterday. So I'll make a base when I don't have to think of a frost.

How have you been doing in New Year holidays?
In Japan, we usually spend calmly during New Year holidays. As typical traditional ways to spend New Year holidays, we visit to greet each other, eat traditional dishes that is called "Osechi", go to shrine to pray New Year's resolution, of course, and drink a lot .

As a preparation for the New Year, we pound steamed rice into rice cake on Dec. 30th. Have you ever eaten rice cakes? Do you know that the rice for rice cake is different from ordinary rice? The immediately after pounding rice cake is especially delicious. I ate it with grated Japanese white radish and soy sauce.

I took a English lesson on last week as I wrote in last contribution to this blog.
Though I was a little bit uneasy because It'd been about a month since last lesson, I managed to finish it. It was a great time.

It's been a long time since last time again... My son is 14 months now. He is so fine. He already can walk and speak some words. He is growing up day by day. I'm looking forward to talking with him a lot.

By the way, I was a student of NOVA(a school of English). Since NOVA's bankruptcy, I haven't taken English lesson for more than a month. I looked for a teacher who teach English individually on the web to take English lesson. I'm going to take a lesson on Dec.6th. I'm looking forward to it. And I'm looking forward to the NOVA's branch I used to go is reopened again, but it is not decided yet.

And I'm going to take a TOEIC exam on next March. I'm looking forward to taking it because it will be about a year since last test I got 600 point, and I feel my progress.

Long time no see. How are you doing? I'm fine.

I took the TOEIC exam last month again and I got its result yesterday. It was better than last time. I got 600 (Listening 320,Reading 280) point.

Before getting it I've been thinking it must have got worse than last time. Because I was disturbed by noises from outside of the building during the Listening test. But I made it.

I'm going to take next test on July. I'll make more effort to get more score.

What do you do for Thanksgiving?

Yesterday's topic at NOVA was about holiday. There are many holidays what we Japanese are not familar with in the world. For example,Thanksgivingday,Halloween,Easter,Boxing day... I didn't know what Boxing day is but I thought it's good custom when I knew it.
Japanese holidays might be strange for foreigner. Especially Setsubun is. Do you know the reason why we throw around beans on Setsubun? Because we think that beans have the power to beat evils. We say "Oni wa soto!" when throw around beans. It means "Get out,Evils!"
What Japanese holiday do you think is strange? And do you know any holidays what is strange for Japanese?

I guess I'm pritty healthy.

The topic I studied on last Monday at NOVA (NOVA is a school of English conversation.) was talking about health and lifestyle.
I have quit smoking for 9 years. Of course, I'm never going to smoke again. It's obviously healthy. I usually get up at 7 and go to bed at 12. It's my habit of recent 3 years. And I only exercise occasionally (I play soccer once two or three weeks.) but I have no health problems now.

Do you have any health problems? Or do you do something for health?

The result of TOEIC brought me a shock!
Listening was 315,Reading was 245.
I've thought that I could get a little more better score especially in Reading.
I'll try to get more at next test!

This proverb means that children don't know the real intentions of their parents.
As well as almost of the people,I didn't know the real intentions of my parents. So I had had some grudges against my parents about having been scolded.
But I recently regret that I didn't obey them. If I obeied them,I might be...now.
Anyway,it's too late for regrets.
I'm going to become a father in September. I think I'll explain the reason why my children are scolded when I have to scold them. And I hope that they will become to consider the reason why they are scolded.

Do you like reading?
I love reading. I usually read books in the bus when I go to office and go home.
My favorite genres are Science Fiction and Fantasy. My favorite author is Isaac Assimov. I like his series of "Foundation".
Recently I read historical novels too. I had read the series of "Kenkaku Shobai" which was written by Shotaro Ikenami two months before. Now I'm reading books about speaking English.

It's been about two months since last time...
My father-in-law has some tea fields. ~~Last month,~~I helped to pick tea leaves every weekend last month. To pick tea leaves was not difficult,but to carry the bag which was full of tea leaves was not easy.
~~Tea~~ The tea leaves were dried through a The night,then ~~were~~ made into Japanese tea by a tea making machine at the next morning. This year's tea is as good as usual.

Yesterday, I went to pick wasabi flowers to at the mountain named Tawaramine with my father-in-law.
He owns about 56,000m² of on the mountain.
In the mountain, there is a stream and there are many wasabi flowers along the stream.
We ate deep-fried wasabi flowers at dinner. It was very delicious.
