As far as I am concerned, I will wait next week to get my batch of 5D MK II and 7D bodies for an upcoming review to test this new firmware before applying it on mine !

How many times I have wished I could hook my old Vaio G2 to a TV or Video projector in order to either enjoy watching a movie or for a presentation… Yes, Having a PC with a VGA connector (D-Sub) sucks… Fortunately there are many ways to overcome this problem and today Thanko have for us their new VGA to HDMI converter where you will be able to connect any D-Sub PC/Mac to any HDMI capable TV or Projector. Now don’t expect to have smashing Digital like video quality (D-Sub is below DVI quality) but this solution is better than nothing.

I really like Pentax’s approach lately to demystify photography by bringing a sense of humor and color to the DSLR world. Sure I may never invest in a Pink or Yellow DLSR, but I would understand others’ interests in such cameras. But today’s announcement of the “Cameraman” is a bit too far fetch for me.

Indeed, in cooperation with a Japanese artist, Ossu Syugeibu, Pentax now propose some kind of “kit” that will transform your DSLR or Point & Shoot into a doll-like setup. By fixing a rag doll body below your camera and changing your Lens Cap with one where a smiley face is painted on, you would get Pentax’s latest weird, but funny approach to photography.

Yep pretty interesting specs, but for this price, there must be a catch somewhere…
