懇親会でシャイぶりを発揮していたら chad fowler に話しかけそこねたとか、それで結局chad と話したくてjogするはめになったとか、jogするはめになったのはchad でぼくはどうでもいいとか、いろいろあったけれど、rubykaigi2010で一番刺さったのはsarah allenからの質問だった。meiじゃない方のsarahと書いてgoogleって今気づいたんだけどこっちのsarahもspeakerじゃん。rubyistがforはないわーとかフィボナッチでウソ教えたりとかいろいろしてしまったｗ

上は直接聞かれたことで、下はtwitterで誰かに言ってたこと。

ペアプロセッションの話はあとでかくつもり。一番刺さったのは、sarahとのペアでお題出しをしたときに、今取り組んでいる技術的な課題を聞かれてぱっと出てこなかったこと。ぱっと出てこなかったことであとで愕然とした。プログラマぶっているのに、つまり課題に取り組んでないのだ。完全後出しでいえば、誰か教えてくれるとうれしいなレベルのrack-clientでキャッキャウフフしたいネタはあったけれど、出来たらいいなーで問題にまで落とし込めていない。だから出せなかった。

実際の問題でもいいし素振りでもいいから、数多く課題にぶつかることを今年の宿題とする。

1 個のレポジトリの中で一部分だけcheckoutできるのがsvnの自分が思うメリット。特にgitでポコポコリポジトリ作ってるとそうおもう。
ただし、これはプロジェクトの中で一部分だけcheckoutしたり一部分だけcommitしたりして全体としての整合性を取れなくする状況を誘発するから、ちょっとだけのマイナス面はある。
あと”ここが外部に依存して”というのは、”ちょっと拝借”だとカオスになる。checkoutやexport
してみないとなにがはきだされるかわからない。これは別にgit submoduleやgit subtree使うようになっても同じ問題だと思うからあんまりどうでもいい。

gitかmercurialかbazaarかについては宗教戦争すればいいんじゃない。

検索してみたものの、「設定足りてないんじゃないの」という回答しかなくてしょんぼりしてました。

Edit -> Preferences -> Content -> Fonts & Colors -> Advanced -> Fonts for: Other Languages
Sans-serif: sans-serif

Sans-serif: IPAGothic
にでもしてやればよいです。

google chromeの場合
Options -> Under the Hood -> Web Content -> Change font and language settings
こちらも
sans-serif ; IPAGothic
にでもしてやればよいです。

これで日本語が普通に表示されました。

this bug fixed 2010-07-24, but I don’t know how to use it. Because I am linux beginner

I confuse how to patch LiveDVD exactly.

x201s has no DVD drive, so I use USB-memory.I use liveusb-creator.
Making liveusb on architect between i386 and x86_64. I made it for x86_64 and Fedora13, based on i386 and Fedora12.

Booting from liveusb and push key at boot loader.
liveDVD’s kernel has xdriver bug.
select ‘boot’ and edit boot option. I add it’s tail to ‘xdriver=vesa 3′.
’3′ is important. This takes me init level 3, this is text-mode.
After Boot level 3, I login on ‘liveuser’ and nopassword. And

$ su -

I became root user.

# yum –enablerepo=updates-testing update kernel

kernel bump up to kernel-2.6.33.6-147.2.4.fc13 .

After I restart machine, I can see GUI liveusb display! great!

I can install from USB to LocalDisk device too.

x201s hibernate does not work well, but it is little thing.

テストに関心あるプログラマとアジャイルに関心あるテスターに向けての話。
品質管理部門のある会社で働いたことないし、ガチガチの納品物を作成したこともないので、どこか他人事だった。
なので問題意識としては分かるけどそもそも語彙からよく分からない部分だった。

どこで知ったか
ウノウラボ Unoh Labs: テスト本の読書会を行います。
参加しそこねたのが残念。

自分の立ち位置
BDD厨。単体テストやコンポーネントテストをもっと軽く速く繰り返ししたい。ロジックのテストを書きたい。その部分のテストでDBさわりたくない。
テストしにくい部分や時間がかかる部分、一番表の表示部分は、一旦テスト無くてもいいor薄くてもいいと思ってるしそういってる。
極論すれば表示はどうあれ適正に計算が行われていればいいでしょという。

8割ぐらいは本気でそう思っているけど、やっぱそれじゃまずいよね、どうするかな、というのが本音。
知ってて切り捨てる所と知らないでフワフワにしてほかのひとがいうのを見た気もするので切り捨てるの溝を埋めるために、読んだ。

読んで思ったこと
ビジネスとしての実現価値の視点から目を逸らしてもしかたないなと再確認。
あと横道だけど、携帯サイトでキャッキャうふふする以上、3キャリアでの実機表示というのが一番偉いわけで、ハッピーパスは手でやるのかなあと思う。

Below is my way running tests for rack-client.

First clone from repository.

$ git clone git://github.com/halorgium/rack-client.git

Recently I use MatzRuby-1.9.2-rc1 with rvm.

$ bundle install

I want to install dependancies. But it failed.
because ruby-debug is for ruby-1.8.
I manually install ruby-debug19 and linecache19

$ gem install ruby-debug19 linecache19

and edit Gemfile, run tests.

$ bundle exec rake spec

console showed ‘load error’. rack-client’s LOAD_PATH rule depended on ruby-1.8 way.

I am starting edit files, but I gave up fix files. Because I want to use rack-client for ree-1.8.5 environment.

So I change ruby interpreter to ree-1.8.6 with rvm. (I can not install ree-1.8.5 with rvm)

$ rvm ree-1.8.6
$ bundle install
$ bundle exec rake spec

aborted.
